Lonesome Girl
Love birds nesting
Couples walking
And there sits the lonesome girl
Watching them talking
She goes into an empty room
Thinking of her solitude
She wonders if she will ever be loved
Or just left in the lonesome mood
Then the day changes
Someone new is at her feet
A boy who is head over heels
The person she’s been longing to meet
They spend every minute
With one another
The only obstacle
Is her mother
Time is passing
He’s always at her side
The mood is changing now
She wants to run and hide
She can’t find the words to speak
She doesn’t want to break his heart
But she knows she has to
Even though it will tear him apart
He is crying inside
She’s looking for something new
Even though she won’t admit
She is crying too
They remain friends
Things aren’t as they were before
He has a new love
Someone he completely adores
She says everything is fine
With a smile on her face
But she knows she had the best
And now she’s back to the same place
A lonesome girl she will stay
Alone in her room
With no one to love this flower
So it will never bloom
